Bijou is a crazy dance kid who truly has that "joie de vivre". In her career so far she has been lucky enough to work beside such Hollywood heavyweights such as Dove Cameron, Ariana Debose, Alan Cumming and Kristin Chenowith. Besides dance she loves her friends, her fluffy dogs Coco & Teddy, acting, singing and travelling. Her favourite places she has visited are Paris, Hawaii & Disneyland with Bora Bora, Japan & Kenya now at the top of her bucket list. Keep on dreaming BIG Bijou.

Although dancing was Bijou's first love, her apprection for acting grew when at 8 years old she was cast in Apple TV's Schmigadoon where she had the opportunity to act, sing & dance. Her new normal was working with some of Hollywoods Best Talent in front & behind the camera. Overjoyed with her first experience on set she has been taking acting classes with many amazing acting teachers at LeBlanc School of Acting where she has loved trying on the hats of many different characters. There is sure to be an award winning role in the near future for this lil star.

When Bijou was 4 she got a pair of hand me down tap shoes. She watched one youtube video of Shirley Temple and went outside and did the whole dance on her own. She hasn't stopped tapping since! Performing her first solo at the age of 6 she has been greatly inspired by her tap teacher Riley Skworoda & Joel Hanna

Bijou went to the night market to watch her friend dance and decided it looked pretty fun...and so began her hip hop journey. She has been with Freshgroove Productions since she was 7 years old. She is presently performing with Fresh 2.0 team who in 2022 & 2023 represented Canada at the HHI World Championships In Arizona. She credits Cezar Tantoco for believing in her and giving her so many opportunities to learn. As well as Jez Nisperos who gives her insane choreography & Mark Dogillo who helps her carry it out.

Bijou is known for her sassy attitude when dancing and Jazz certainly gives her the chance to showcase it! She began dancing competitively with The Landing Dance Center where she was overjoyed to be a part of their productions which always included fancy costumes, props & a great deal of imagination. She loved working with Rachael at Poirier Productions and now Tiffany, Rachael's past student.

"Look at this mom"...Bijou every day!
Bijou has spent half of her life upside down! With her six year old schedule already packed her parents said no to an extra acro class in September...but come January they finally caved and she has been turning & tumbling ever since. She has been working hard with Jervin at The Flight Club and she is super excited to be able to incorporate some of her tricks into her dancing.

"Distinction"...Results from annual ISTD ballet testing
Bijou fell in love with dance early at a Mommy & Me ballet class when she was 18 months old but by the time she was 3 she was routinely complaining that the kids took too many water breaks & didn't pay attention. Her discipline and hard work paid off as she later landed a role as a mouse in Alberta Ballet's The Nutcracker Suite, giving her her first big opportunity to dance onstage at The Queen Elizabeth Theatre. She is grateful to be currently working with Miss Irina Lavrova, an incredibly experienced teacher who keeps her on her toes.
